If you’re obsessed with your clothes, you probably go out of your way to take care of them. But when you’re dealing with delicate fabrics, washing your clothes may be intimidating. But, more clothes are washable than you think.
First, always read the clothing label closely. For washable fabrics, be sure to add Downy Fabric Softener to your wash – it softens, protects your clothes from stretching, fading and fuzz; and adds that classic Downy scent you know and love!
How to wash sweaters
Sweaters needs to be washed slightly differently than your other clothing. However, they don’t tend to need washing very frequently. When washing is needed, use a delicate or hand-wash setting on the machine. The temperature setting should be the same for wash and rinse (either warm or cold). Use a detergent, like Ariel. Add Downy Fabric Softener to protect your sweater from stretching in the wash and bad odours as you wear it throughout the day. At the end of washing and carefully wringing excess water, lay your sweater flat to dry.
